Immigration Medical Exam Information

  • Adults 18+

The fee for the medical exam for adults 18 years or older is $400, payable in cash or credit card.

The fee includes the tuberculosis blood test, the syphilis blood test, and the gonorrhea urine test. The fee does not include any additional tests that may be required based on the initial assessment. For example, a positive tuberculosis blood test requires a chest X-ray to be performed and a positive syphilis blood test requires a second confirmatory blood test.

  • Minors Under 18

For those under the age of 18, the fee is $400, payable in cash or credit card.

  • Required Vaccines

For adults aged 18 through 64, USCIS requires proof of a completed childhood series of tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis (Tdap), measles/mumps/rubella (MMR), and polio vaccines. A dose of Tdap within the last 10 years is also necessary. A flu shot is required during the flu season, and so is a COVID-19 vaccine from the current season. If there is no verified history of chickenpox disease, the chickenpox vaccine is also required. The hepatitis B vaccine is required for adults 18-59 years old.

If no official documentation is available, a dose of Tdap and polio vaccines must be administered. Because many individuals do not remember having had chickenpox, we offer an inexpensive blood test to check for immunity against chickenpox, which would obviate the need for the expensive chickenpox vaccine. A similar test for immunity against measles/mumps/rubella and hepatitis B can be performed in lieu of a vaccine.

We do not offer vaccines at our clinic, but you do need to show proof of having received the required vaccines. If you have insurance, we can provide you with a prescription so you can get your vaccines at a pharmacy that would bill your insurance. This way you would not have to pay for the vaccines.
